Ludo knaepkens

Ludo Knaepkens, born on 17/05/1962, a painter living and working in Hoogstraten, Belgium. He has been drawing and painting all his life. His mother painted and his father was in the transportation business. The genes he inherited clearly influenced his life and work and are irrevocably linked to it. As the oldest in the family, he automatically rolled into his father's business, but he ignored the advice to put off painting until later. Due to the busy job with many trips abroad, he did not graduate from the IKO Art Academy until the end of my professional career. In addition, he also completed training as a gallery owner. In his studio he paints with acrylic and oil paints, but also likes to experiment with mixed techniques. Over the years, his style has evolved from romantic impressionism to graphic, colorful pop art. The freedom to use colors, mix images, incorporate humor and text into work is something he has been attracted to since a young age. Although he enjoys exhibiting, he experiences the greatest passion by painting and seeing the growth process of the work.
